Privacy Policy
1. Information and purposes
- Registration name, country, phone number and app-generated account/device identifiers: registration, discovery and call connection; kept on the OkCall server while the account is active.
- Push tokens, blocked-user identifiers and messaging public keys: incoming alerts, blocking and encrypted delivery; related registrations are removed on account deletion.
- Phone numbers queried through contact discovery: matched against registered users on request. Address-book names are not uploaded for matching.
- Saved contacts, favorites, recent calls, settings and credentials: stored on the device and cleared as part of completed in-app account deletion.
- Voice, network addresses/IP and call state: processed for real-time delivery and connection diagnostics. OkCall does not provide a feature that creates or stores call recordings.
- Encrypted text/photos, sender/recipient identifiers and sent/read/expiry times: held temporarily for delivery, read receipts and expiry.
- Support email and information you provide: kept as needed to handle the request, then deleted; any legally required retention and its basis will be explained.
2. Disappearing messages
Once the recipient app marks a message as opened, it expires after the sender-selected 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1, 2 or 3 minutes. It is removed from the app view and the server's temporary message store. Unopened messages wait up to 24 hours from sending. A server restart or connection issue can remove temporary messages earlier.
Text and photo contents are encrypted on the device; the server relays ciphertext in memory. The app does not save conversation bodies as a chat-history file. Original photos selected from your library remain there. This is not a promise to erase OS temporary files, external recordings, recipient-made copies or every recoverable memory/storage trace.
3. Permissions
Microphone access enables voice calls; contact access supports contact discovery/saving; notifications alert you to incoming calls/messages without including the message body; photo selection or camera access is used when you attach/take a photo. You can change permissions in device settings; relevant functions may then be unavailable. Phone numbers are currently self-registered, without SMS ownership verification.
4. Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare supports website/API protection and TURN voice relay when needed. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service deliver alerts. This website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Support mail passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator's Google mailbox.
Providers may process IP/access details, notification tokens/routing data or support emails across international infrastructure, including outside Korea. Locations and retention depend on provider configuration and policies. You can disable notifications, stop using the service or request account deletion; refusing necessary processing can prevent related functions.
OkCall does not sell personal information or provide conversation contents for ad targeting. Conversations are delivered to the recipient you choose. Disclosure may also occur where a valid legal obligation requires it.
5. Retention, deletion and security
Account deletion removes active registration, related blocking/invitations, push registrations and queued messages. A hashed revoked identifier without your name or phone number is retained as needed to reject old credentials. Immediate physical erasure from database remnants, operator backups and external providers' logs is not guaranteed.
Transport encryption, device secure storage, account-scoped access checks and audio-route safeguards are used. Device/OS limitations apply; external cameras and recorders cannot be prevented.
6. Your rights and contact
Request access, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal through info@okcall.app. We verify only information needed to establish account ownership; do not send passwords, authentication keys or government ID numbers. See account deletion without reinstalling the app.
Operator and privacy contact: JUNG SEONG OUK (정성욱), info@okcall.app. The service is not designed for children; contact us regarding use or data requiring guardian involvement.
7. Changes
We update this page and its revision date when practices change, with in-app notice and additional consent where needed.
